Great 1st keyboard

I got this keyboard back in September when it first came out. Although it did take a bit of time to arrive, it was well worth the wait. The keyboard is very quiet, but over time the lube in the switches wears off after a while. That took about a month of playing rhythm games nonstop, but it still manages to stay silent even without headphones on. Overall this keyboard deserves a 10/10.

great value KB

Bought barebone V4 QMK and paired it with Iceberg caps from keychron and gateron yellow pro 2.0 I had from before and oh boy am I happy :D This KB is great in every way, build is rock solid, stabs are lubed and Iceberg keycaps are thick PBT. Sound is awesome out of the box, haven't gone deep with software so won't comment on that but all in all and for this money this is a great buy and I can only recommend it. It will not be the last KB I bought from keychron for sure ;)

Great Building keyboard.

I just received this keyboard a few hours ago I put some Alpacas in them and they sound great. It was a very easy installation, although the RGB isn't great but that's not why I personally buy a computer as I was probably going to have the RGB off anyway. This is most likely because of my keycaps and switches anyways as they aren't very clear key caps using pudding ones. But, other than that it sounds amazing and it's my first keyboard build and it was definitely very pain free. Although it did take a little bit to come in around 2 weeks but this was mostly because of the fact of DHL being slow. They also worked with me when I accidentally purchased the wrong one and it didn't ship yet they still changed it to this one! Great staff and a great keyboard thanks again <3.

Great Budget Keyboard!

I recently purchased the Keychron V4 (I'm using it to type this review right now), and I have been really happy with it so far. I've been on the search for a budget custom keyboard for months, and this one has met all my demands. Hot-swappable sockets, south-facing layout (no interference), 5-pin pcb, screw-in stabilizers, customizable RGB, amazing build quality, USB type C, and Windows/Mac support, it really checks all the boxes. I purchased the barebones model off amazon from "Keychron Direct," for the retail price (with free shipping!). Overall, I think this board is insane value for the price, rivaling similar custom keyboard kits for little to no price differential. And in case you were wondering, no, I was not enticed to write this review for any discount/gift certificate. I am writing this to share my personal experience buying, which I say with no hesitation has been second to none. Good job Keychron : )

Good For Price

Definitely the best 80 dollar keyboard out right now. Very well lubed and stabbed are tooned well. Unfortunately can't get via to work (VIA isn't accepting the json file)

An Epic Core Inside The Keyboard

A brand new powerful ultra-low-power Arm structure MCU armed with 128K Flash will provide more flexibility for developers. The polling rate is up to 1000 Hz out of the box, which makes latency non-existent for the competitive game.

OSA Profile Double-shot PBT Keycaps

For the new double-shot PBT keycaps, we built a new profile. It has a similar height to the OEM profile and has an SA-like shape. We named it the OSA (OEM spherical angled) keycap. The PBT keycaps will provide excellent oil resistance, enhance the type feel, and prevent the legends from fading out.

Switch Layouts Between macOS & Windows

Built with the Mac users' experience in mind while still retaining compatibility for Windows devices, the Keychron V4 comes with a system toggle and an additional set of customized keycaps for both Windows and macOS systems. You can now save two different layouts on the keyboard, one for each system.

Program V4 with QMK & VIA

With full QMK and VIA support, you can easily program and remap each key on the keyboard. The open-source firmware means endless possibilities for keyboard layouts, shortcuts, backlight effects, and more.

Hot-swappable.

The hot-swappable sockets are mounted on the PCB, so you can install or change the switches without soldering. The PCB supports both 3-pin and 5-pin MX mechanical switches.

South-facing RGB LED Lights.

The south-facing RGB LED is designed to better illuminate the keyboard backlight from the typist's angle with the premium non-shine-through PBT keycaps installed. The south-facing RGB is also free from interference when the users install OEM or Cherry-profile alternative keycaps on the keyboard.
